Quilts

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday.  I wanted to show off a few quilts I have in my house. All the quilts were made by people in my family.  The first three quilts were made by my sister-in-law and given to my children when they graduated high school.
My oldest daughters quilt. I love the colors.

Close up of one of the quilt blocks.

My sons quilt has all his favorite things.
Raspberries, fast food,  sports, and lots more.
Youngest daughters flip flop quilt. For all those summers she spent at the beach.
Aren't the flip flops cute.
Y2K quilt my mother-in-law made for my husband.  He works on computers. The little bugs are for when your computer has a bug. :-)

Here are some quilts my Grandma made for my kids.
Wednesday likes this one.

This is one of my favorite quilts. My sister gave this to me for Christmas last year. Years ago my Grandma gave my Mom seven unfinished quilts that she had gotten from her Mom. My sister took all seven quilts and finished them.  There are seven kids in my family, we each received one for Christmas. Wow what a nice gift.

Redoing an old wrought iron table.

Pic of the table I bought at a Thrift Store in St Ignace MI. I paid $2.00 for it. Lucy making sure its ok. She has to check out everything I buy. I really liked this color but I couldn't find the color in a spray can. So I went with my standard black.  I paint a lot of stuff black.

 Fresh out of the sandblaster.

First coat of primer. I put two coats on.

Put together with two coats of black spray paint.

Here's Lucy!!!

Hi everyone here is my first post on my new blog Lucy's Porch. I thought I would introduce Lucy.

Lucy came to live with us in January of 2004. She has been running the house since the day she arrived.  Lucy was supposed to be my youngest daughters cat. Their relationship didn't work out. They have a love hate relationship. So now Lucy is my cat and my daughter has a new cat named Wednesday.  Lucy only likes me and my husband and not too many people are fond of Lucy.

Here she is on the back deck. You can usually find her out on the front porch watching over her kingdom.

Here she is out on the front porch.

Lucy not happy that I am babysitting my girlfriends grandson.
